| Students participating in the Community Development Work Study Program at Clemson University were selected because of either economic disadvantage or minority status to earn a masters degree from the Department of Planning and Landscape Architecture masters program. The courses cover basic principles including planning ethics, zoning and urban economics. Each of the work placement agencies is either an agency of state government or unit of local government, an areawide planning organization, or a private nonprofit organization involved in comprehensive planning and land use activities.
