| Three students will be chosen to participate in the Community Development Work Study Program and pursue a Masters of Public Policy at Duke University. This degree provides a broad-based foundation in the quantitative, analytical, and managerial methods essential to success in a variety of public service careers. In addition this program goes beyond abstract principals to challenge students to apply their analytical skills to blend a human, ethical perspective with systematic problemsolving and managerial techniques. Students complete their coursework at the Stanford Institute with field placements in agencies and organizations either located in the neighborhoods surrounding Duke or supporting those neighborhood revitalization efforts through the Duke-Durham Neighborhood Partnership Initiative.
