OUP is seeking individuals to review, score, and provide valuable written comments on applications submitted for the following programs in response to the HUD FY06 NOFA:
Qualification Requirements
Interested reviewers should note that OUP will hold this year's peer review at the Embassy Suites in Washington, D.C. The peer review will occur July 20-25, 2006.

If you meet the following criteria and are interested in reviewing, you MUST submit a Peer Reviewer Profile. Those who completed a profile last year must access their FY05 profile and resubmit it to reactivate the profile for this year. You can access your FY05 profile either by using the confirmation number you received when you registered previously, or by entering the name, e-mail address, and employer you entered in your original profile.
A reviewer must meet the following criteria:
- Able to analyze the content of a proposal and prepare comments (typed on a laptop) based on information/data presented in up to six proposals.
- Willing to work as part of a team, meet deadlines, and be willing to work long hours, including Saturday and Sunday.
- Able to commit for the length of the review (up to 7 days, including travel time).
Reviewers should also meet a minimum of THREE of the following qualifications:
- Possess at minimum a bachelor's degree.
- Current or former faculty in a community development- or an economic development-related field.
- Experienced in community development and urban planning.
- Administered a federal grant program designed specifically to revitalize low-income neighborhoods.
- Work(ed) at a minority-serving institution or attended a minority-serving institution.
- Directed or managed a project or grant funded by OUP in the capacity of a faculty member or staff person.
- Practitioner having experience working with tribes (TCUP program only).
- Former or retired federal employee who has experience working with targeted population of the program, interested in reviewing applications for or have administered federal grant programs designated specifically for that population.
Reviewing Site
Those selected for this year's peer review will convene at an all-suite hotel in downtown Washington, D.C. OUP will pay your travel, lodging, and current rate of per diem for meals, but not an honorarium.
